2nd Years & Counting

Today is a very special day for me. It's my husband and I's 2 year wedding anniversary.
I know 2 years isn't a very long time and may not be much to brag about but it's really been the best years of my life. I feel so blessed to have found such a great and wonderful man.
To celebrate, I wanted to share with you all a few candid shots of our wedding in the ruins of Byland Abbey in Coxwold, England. Yes, it was rather chilly as England is known for cool weather but due to my high levels of adrenaline pumping it felt like summer to me. We had a delicious meal at the quaint Abbey Inn right across the road prepared by my fellow colleagues as I was actually working as a pastry chef there at the time and ended the evening by being serenaded by the oh so talented Flossie who brought the french flair to the evening. The whole day brought together pieces of who we both are, my husband being British and me half French.
It really was the perfect day and the perfect start to a lifetime together.

Keeping in with the reminiscent feel of the day I have quoted William Shakespeare's Sonnet CXVI that was read on the day.

"Let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments.
Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds,

Or bends with the remover to remove:
O, no! it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;

It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.

Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;

Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Happy 2 year anniversary my dearest husband!

I hope all of you have found that special someone in your life.
Life is much more fulfilling when you can share it with someone you love.
