Day two of NYFW brought us the long-awaited collection of the infamous Jason Wu (Michelle Obama's favorite designer) along with more bursts of color and layers of warmth for this fall. Have to admit there was a handful of collections that didn't take my fancy but Wu made up for it along with Minkoff.
Without further ado...
Jason Wu has a hit collection on his hands:
a dramatic, tailored, masquerade ball-esque look
with lace, sequins & jewels.
Rebecca Minkoff's collection was feminine with a touch of preppy and rock and roll.
Costello's collection demonstrated flowing, delicate fabrics with a touch of orange (surprise, surprise) and fabric belts.
Nicole Miller equals chic and sophisticated with mixes of black and white (channeling Chanel)
and some electric blues. Don't you just love those pants on the right!
Simplicity is not always a bad thing as the Doo.Ri collection showed. With silk jersey and mohair fabrics, the sweater/jumper on the left is too die for. I would love to wear it right now!
