This past weekend my family and I went to the Annual BBQ on the River festival. Each year over 50 different vendors come together to cook and serve over 80 tons of chicken, beef and pork. Like most popular festivals, there are lots of people but if you are a people watcher, like me, then you don't mind the masses one little bit.
Over the past few years, I've been going mainly for the delicious BBQ chicken and beef brisket but this year I decided to collaborate with my friend and local photographer Glenn Hall to focus on the fashionable side of the festival. To be honest I wasn't sure what to expect and it was rather exciting to put my people watching skills to good use. As we were walking down Broadway in downtown Paducah, I became excited yet nervous at the thought of randomly approaching people. Can anyone relate?
After walking around the festival once (or twice) I decided to take the plunge and walk up to this lovely lady and I'm so glad I did. Ellie's casual chic style instantly drew me to her. She paired ripped skinny jeans and a classic tailored shirt with a modern twist creating a relaxed yet stylish look that was perfect for walking around a weekend festival in your hometown. To top the look off, this girl knows how to accessorize from her sunglasses down to her wedges and each piece in between plus some monogramming.
I especially fell in love with her David Yurman ring (right)!

Now that I had my confidence levels up a little bit and the adrenaline pumping, as soon as I saw Cassie out of the corner on my eye I didn't hesitate to say hi. She has a similar effortless chic style about her with a keen eye for accessorizing too. At 13 weeks pregnant this stylish momma to be is rocking color blocked chevron and brown leather laced boots.
Had my eye on that Tory Burch Classic Handle Hobo Bag- would double up perfectly as a diaper bag!
All in all our first street style partnership was a success and a whole lot of fun. I really enjoyed meeting two lovely and stylish ladies. Excited to say that this will be the first of many style and fashion collaborations between imagine.create.play and Glenn Hall photography. Make sure and follow along!
A HUGE thank you for the beautiful photography Glenn Hall.
